Ward Churchill Is Coming To California

When last we checked, it appeared as though controversial University of Colorado Professor Ward Churchill was in danger of being fired from his job. Now Res Ipsa Loquitur is reporting that the self-proclaimed "Native American" will be gracing the University of California's Berkeley campus with his presence next Monday:
Department of Ethnic Studies Presents:
"Academic Freedom in Peril: Prof. Ward Churchill and His Right of Free Speech"

A Forum on Academic Freedom in Troubled TimesSpeakers:Prof. Ward Churchill, Native American & Ethnic StudiesUniversity of Colorado, Boulder

Date: Monday, March 28, 2005
Time: 12- 2 p.m.
Place: Pauley Ballroom, MLK
There are a number of other speakers scheduled to appear, but there is only one Ward Churchill. (And thank goodness for that.) Don't miss this opportunity to observe a true radical in his native habitat.

Update: (3/25) Betsy's Page also has some thoughts about "Native American" Ward Churchill.
